| Kento, not really =P The only decendents of dinosaurs that are still alive are bird ( just a theory). I would say it's a reptile but hey, anything is possible. And Chris a kingfish is just a nickname for king mackeral. King Mackeral are predators that follow schools of bait that migrate to the water temp they like. Theses things are like a bullet. I never caught one before but my dad has. I've cought spanish mackeral which don't usually get over 10 lbs while kingfish get more then 60 lbs. They are very fast and smart on top of that. I believe they can swim 50 mph + and are mean too. I've seem they just leaping from wave to wave in 5 ft waves just cutting through one then the next, very amazing. Most people troll for them but people catch them all the time on live bait along with jigs too. I've also heard the larger ones (40 lbs+) have high levels of mercury so if you ever eat one, make it a small one =P And the furthest I've been offshore is around 15 miles. Not extermely far, but I would count it offshore. I love going offshore, I see so many interesting and weird things. Plus it's really nice to get away from all the people in the cities. | |

| People do much crueler things then use live bait. Im not going to lie, I use live bait often, but atleast I have a reason for doing so, unlike people who abuse animals and pollute the enviorment. Like I said before, If I catch something and it's legal, it doesn't go to waste. Not to be defencive or anything, but people who fish in general have much more respect for nature then most people. Also, how could I post photos on here? Not very computer familiar =P | |

| Went fishing today, didn't catch much though. Caught a few sheepheads and less then a half dozen porgies. I was surprised to catch porgies such close to shore. Usually they hang out by inshore/ offshore reefs. | |

| Thats them. There's a saying that an angler must act before the fish strikes when fishing for them. They are very intelligent and you barly feel them biting. You should see their teeth =P They mainly eat crabs and crustaceans. I've tried to catch them on artificals but they never seem to bite anything but live bait. Pretty cool looking though =P | |
